02 OCTOBER 2026, SINGAPORE – Nicholas Chia, Chief Executive Officer at Aolani, Singapore-founded neocloud, joined fellow AI infrastructure players at Data Centre World Asia, a part of the 2026’s Singapore Technology Week, for a panel discussion on future-proofing data centres for the AI evolution.

The session brought together key players like AirTrunk, Carrier, and EPG Engineering to discuss how digital infrastructure can keep pace with AI. While design and power efficiency are key pressures that the industry face today, the panelists agreed that speed and modularity are the common denominators in future-proofing infrastructure for the next generation of chips.
It can take years to secure land and bring a data centre live, yet new generations of chips arrive almost every year, each with different power and cooling needs. It is not only the GPUs that are becoming more powerful, the racks that house them are also becoming denser, drawing far more power and requiring more advanced cooling. For Aolani, speed to deployment is critical, and the company relies on our data centre partners to build modular, agile infrastructure that can accommodate each new generation of racks and unlock the full performance of every GPU.
As a neocloud, Aolani operates in the ecosystem as a player that complements data centres. Beyond using power efficiently, Aolani believes the industry has a responsibility to put capital back into the community for the power and resources it uses, and token exports are one way to do so. By turning the output of every GPU into tokens that can be exported, the ecosystem can create value for businesses and boost the wider economy through new sources of revenue and tax.

Nicholas Chia said, "AI chips are evolving every year, but data centres still take years to build. Speed is everything for us, and we can only achieve it with data centre partners who build to a common standard while staying modular enough to keep pace. As a neocloud, we also see it as our responsibility to make every GPU count, producing AI compute that generates real value for businesses, communities and the wider economy."
